Organizational Setting

The Treasury Unit is one of three units comprising the Finance and Accounting Section of the Division of Budget and Finance. The Unit is responsible for cash management including effecting all disbursements, recording all receipts, and investing the funds for the IAEA.

Assignment

Under the general supervision of the Assistant Treasurer:
  • To file all payment and journal vouchers.
  • To send and file written electronic correspondence with banks, while ensuring proper tracking of documentation.
  • To perform other duties consistent with the level of the post as required by the Unit Head/Section Head/Director.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent organizing skills to ensure timely filing.
  • Accuracy and ability to pay attention to detail to ensure easy retrieval of files.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment with respect to sensitivity for diversity.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office 2003 which is the IAEA's standard (Word, Outlook).
  • English typing test (level 2) and English language test.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English. Knowledge of German useful.

Education and Experience

  • Completed secondary education.
  • At least two years of experience in the financial/banking/clerical area.

Remuneration

The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at €14 056 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), six weeks' annual vacation, pension plan and health insurance.
