Organizational Setting |

The IAEA's information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure comprises state-of-the art hardware and software platforms in a partially decentralized environment.
The Division of Information Technology provides support to the IAEA in the field of ICT, including information systems for technical programmes and management. It is responsible for planning, developing and implementing an ICT strategy, for setting and enforcing common ICT standards throughout the Secretariat and for managing central ICT services. The Division has implemented an IT service management model based on ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) and PRINCE2 best practices. The IT Customer Services Section is responsible for setting standards, for providing first- and second-level support for the IAEA's desktop computing environment and switchboard services, and for developing IAEA staff's computing skills. |
Main purpose |
|
Reporting to the Section Head, Customer Services Section, the IT Training Officer develops and ensures efficient delivery of the IAEA's IT training programme, covering standard desktop applications and specialized business applications.

Role |
|
The IT Training Officer acts in several roles: (1) trainer, delivering IAEA-specific courses; (2) analyst, conducting IT training needs assessments and responding to ad hoc training requests; (3) developer of course material, including guides, presentations and hands-on exercises; (4) supplier relationship manager for outsourced training delivery contracts.

Partnerships |
|
The IT Training Officer liaises with users and suppliers to ensure timely IT training delivery.
Furthermore, he/she works closely with other Departments and within the Division of Information Technology for the development and delivery of IAEA-specific IT training courses. |

Remuneration |
|
The Agency offers an attractive remuneration package
including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $52 408 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a
variable post adjustment
which currently amounts to US $40 354*, dependency benefits,
rental subsidy,
education grant,
relocation and
repatriation expenses; 6 weeks' annual vacation,
home leave,
pension plan and
health insurance.
